When should I schedule the newborn session?

1. • Ideally, newborn sessions should be scheduled within the first 10-14 days after birth for the best results. Babies are typically sleepier and more flexible for posing at this age. It is recommended that you book while expecting(around your second or third trimester) to ensure availability. 

2. How long does the newborn session last?

   • Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on how the baby is feeling, feedings, and the type of shots you're aiming for.

3. What should I bring to the session?

   • We provide all props, outfits, wraps, headbands and bonnets in array of colors. Nothing is required from home but you are welcome to bring any sentimental outfits or props you'd like to use.

4. What should I dress my baby in for the session?

   • It’s best to dress your baby in something easy to remove, such as a simple onesie or zip up pajamas.

5. Do I need to prepare my baby in any way before the session?

   • It’s helpful to try to keep your baby awake for a little while before the session, so they’re more likely to sleep through the session. You may also want to feed the baby right before the session to ensure they are calm and full.

6. Can I include older siblings or family members in the photos?

   • Depends on the package you choose. The mini session is for baby only but siblings and parents can be included with the premium or deluxe package.

7. What if my baby is fussy during the session?

   • Don’t worry! We are very experienced with calming babies and allowing them breaks as needed. It’s normal for babies to need time to be soothed.

8. How do you ensure the safety of my baby during the shoot?

   • Professional newborn photographers are highly trained in handling babies and use safe posing techniques. The baby’s comfort and safety are always top priorities.

9. What type of props or backdrops do you use?

   • We offer a variety of props like hats, blankets, and wraps to enhance the session. You can discuss any preferences or themes with the photographer beforehand. 

10. How long will it take to receive my photos after the session?

    • On average, it takes about 3-4 weeks to receive your edited gallery. 

11. Can I request certain poses or styles for my photos?

    • It’s important to communicate your preferences with the photographer before the session. While we have our signature style, we are happy to accommodate your specific requests.

12. Do you have a studio, or do you travel for sessions?

    • Unfortunately we do not offer travel sessions at this time. All our newborn sessions are done at our studio. 

13. What happens if I need to reschedule the session?

    • Life happens! The appointment for your newborn session is considered a tentative date if you are booking while pregnant. This means if baby arrives before or after their due date and will be over 14 days at the time of the appointment, your session can be rescheduled. 

14. How can I prepare older siblings for the session?

    • If you have older children, encourage them to be involved by bringing a favorite toy or book for waiting. It's helpful to make the experience as fun and relaxed as possible. Another tip is to bring the kids at the beginning or end of the session if you have additional help.
